Summury
The origin of the collaboration culture in Wikipedia depends on how much you depend on the role and status of the leader. Wikipedia has many other open communities and is not forceful. Many people participate without any compensation. The most influential people are Wales and Saint. Wales sees his leadership as central due to his vision of establishment, early activities, contributions to cooperative norms, and other ' relations with the powerful '. It's a great way to understand Wikipedia.
Understanding of communities and cooperative cultures is the key. Despite its good working culture and openness, Wikipedia has been shaped by its authoritative leadership.
Interesting Point
Wikipedia. Accordingly, communities and rules were managed and developed. I felt Jimmy was not an ordinary person watching this. I think it's great how you think of it.Jimmy was initially one of his broad vision and supervision and led to his preferred management style. Show how these parallel content is understood in authoritative form. It is one of the most influential people in Wikipedia and has inspired us to imagine the process of forming Wikipedia today.
Discussion
Wikipedia was driven in many positive ways, but authority eventually took the lead. Authority is formed by a leader. Not only Wikipedia but also the world will be influenced by who is the leader who can handle this authority. How will Wikipedia change if it was formed by an unauthorized leader? Was it possible to remain as it is now? If so, which leader was a good leader and which leader was not? I think Wikipedia may not have been maintained as it is. And great
A leader thinks he is honest, confident and confident without using his rights. I want to hear what you think.
Your question about which leader is a good leader is very interesting. It is also a good question to ask what will happen if a non-authoritative leader takes power. According to Weber, authority refers to power with legitimacy. Sometimes the exercise of power is arbitrary, but the benevolent dictator which the author says is different from ruthless dictatorship. That leader makes judgments that reflect the consensus and requirements of the users. At first I was skeptical about such leadership, but as I read the article, I felt that authority was sometimes needed. Dictatorship is dangerous, but the exercise of authority through democratic processes contributes to the efficiency of Wikipedia. Unauthorized readers may not find the right way in the voices of so many users.
ReplyDeleteThinking of your question, I think about the role of the leader of Wikipedia once more.
ReplyDeleteAlthough it is not specified as a leader, there must have been and will be a leader in reaching consensus. But the question is who will be. A good person who is honest, confident and unauthorized as you say will maintain neutrality and reach consensus as Wales has pursued. In other words, if the situation to solve a problem comes up anyway, I think that a leader who can gather more opinions without stubbornness of oneself and get better results is needed.
I read your article well.
ReplyDeleteI think that a leader in Wikipedia is not necessary. The existence of a power leader in Wikipedia, the leader of collaboration and creativity, is contradictory. The existence of a leader in a space created by the opinions and efforts of everyone is a change in purpose and outcome. Rather than a community called Wikipedia, it is understandable to think of a good leader elsewhere.
