W10. What would make writing on Wikipedia easier for me? - Yeonju Heo

When I first wrote to Wikipedia, I was afraid I would write the wrong article. Also, many of the rules of Wikipedia have made me more confused. However, now that I have some familiarity with editing, it is not hard to write on Wikipedia. The reason for this is as follows.

First, people in Wikipedia make me write easily. Wikipedia has many users. At first I was burdened with that part. It was because I thought everyone would watch and evaluate my articles. Later, however, I believed in them and was able to edit the articles. Many editors of Wikipedia are willing to help others. They correct the wrong article and give feedback to improve. So, I am now not afraid to be wrong. I try my best to make the correct edits. If I'm wrong, I can edit it easier because other goodwill editors will be willing to help me out.

The second is due to the rules of Wikipedia. The rules of Wikipedia seem complicated at first, but they make writing easier if people get used to it. It is because only the rules are kept well. When writing, people should use a reliable source, fill in the source exactly, and write only objective information. If people become accustomed to writing within these rules, people will be able to write without worry. This makes writing easier for me.

People writing for the first time on Wikipedia may find it difficult. But once people get used to it, Wikipedia is the easiest place to write than anywhere else. If Wikipedia was the place to write alone, it would have been less easy than it is now. Because there are people to help, Wikipedia becomes a more friendly place. In this part, I once again feel the power of collective intelligence.
