W10. What would make writing on Wikipedia easier for me?

Jong Hoon Park 박종훈

In terms of personal experience so far, the most important thing is the reference. To create or edit articles, you must have a supporting basis, which is commonly used in Wikipedia.

Either way, Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, and the main function of an encyclopedia is information delivery. Information requires evidence. As we have mentioned in previous discussions on reliability, references are therefore important. Articles without references are unreliable and deleted. On the other hand, articles with references are judged to be more reliable than articles without references. Most of all, since Wikipedia is an Internet encyclopedia, it has the great advantage of identifying its source right away. So you can immediately check the source of any information.

But I have lots of shortcomings. There are deadlinks, and if the references are poor or sloppy, even the content is likely to be false. What do you think about these areas?

Comments

  1. I totally agree with you. I also think that the accuracy and professionalism of reference determines the quality of the article that is edited in Wikipedia. Although Wikipedia is strict about reference, it seems to be weak in feedback on the quality of this literature.
