W7 blog topic: Why Free Culture matters? - JongHoon Park

Free culture seems to be a topic to reconsider at a time when this fourth industrial revolution and IOT are called keywords. There is so much information on the Web, and so is the reality. Usually, the real information is available in books or type, but it can be in many forms on the Web, such as text, files, videos, and sounds. So the copyright looks more vague on the Web. Many people have not seemed to be sensitive about copyright and don't seem to care much about it, but as of 2018, probably no one knew the importance of copyright. But it is doubtful how effective copyright unconditional protection will work in this era of big data and the fourth industrial revolution.

I think free culture is essential. Because I think I am the beneficiary of that free culture. For instance, I learned muscular exercise on youtube. It's one of my most interesting hobbies these days, and I haven't had much access to information from bodybuilders and bodybuilders familiar with bodybuilding. But now, on a platform called YouTube, many so-called stallengers teach how to exercise and even reveal their menus, supplements, lifestyles, and routines. Although it is a long way to build one's reputation and wealth, what used to be a book can now be accessed anywhere, anytime.

I think free culture is necessary now. In my personal opinion, there are many benefits that could be gained from the sharing of quite a few knowledge or information, other than the copyright artists of music and art. So, what do you think?

  2. I read your article well. I sometimes saw you watching sports videos. I also think free culture is necessary because i like to watch favorite movies or music. There is a merit in letting someone interesting know what they are doing.

  4. Because the YouTube videos you've used are already the source that the creators posted for sharing purposes, the benefits don't cause any problems. But if you use the video for your private interests, will it not cause any problems then? Will the producers tolerate this? I think the issue of free culture is a part of this.
