W10. What would make writing on Wikipedia easier for me? - Kim Byung Chan
Summary
I edited and wrote several articles on Wikipedia. When I write articles, I make them as close as possible to the facts. Wikipedia considers sources and facts important. Otherwise, Wikipedia, which everyone uses easily, can be infected with inaccurate information. If I add misinformation or information that could harm others, the administrator sends a message and changes the information back to before article. Wikipedia keeps Wikipedia free from backbiting by frequently backing up information, while allowing people to easily add and edit. There is a lot of information in Wikipedia. But the information is not always perfect. The information changes from time to time. This often changing information is constantly updated through the collective intelligence of people.
Interesting Point
Wikipedia needs management because it is used by everyone in the world. But its management is not strict. It made the sign-up process easy for many people to use. It is also not difficult to write articles. This is because most of the style of articles is fixed.
We feel less uncomfortable when writing because we have to write articles using the functions in it. That is why people can easily make modifications and additions as well as write articles. And Wikipedia supports a variety of languages. The amount of information in each language is different. But because it supports multiple languages, people have easy access to Wikipedia.
Making it easy to use Wikipedia has made it accessible to many people. And those who gather together use their information to create, modify, and edit articles and make information more and more accurate. In this way, Wikipedia achieves collective intelligence.
Discussing
As I said before, Wikipedia's information makes information through the collective intelligence of the general public. But not everyone knows or knows the basics when writing Wikipedia articles. For this reason, the articles you have written and the information you have added may disappear. In particular, Wikipedia is sensitive about 'public relations'. But because standards are unclear, many people find it difficult to write articles. I just added a company’s introduction, but it was deleted many times because of public relations. I would like to discuss how we can clarify this criterion.
