There are diverse ways to collect information for Wikipedia.
The easiest would be 'the Internet' and there are also could be books, encyclopedias, and so on.
There will be numerous, but I think, there is one important trait that should come first. It is reliability.
The 'openness' is the main idea of Wikipedia, it is the natural result that reliability takes a big part. This is because responsibility follows the freedom.
For this reason, getting a reliable source of information is one of the ways to make writing easier.
Second, using various tools when editing Wikipedia. While editing articles, we can see icons above the writing space. If we identify these icons and use them, this will make us write easier. And it could make the article higher readability. Above all, the function named 'sandbox' can be used to make outlines before creating a new page. In here, editing and saving on my own page is free and it is really convenient.
Last is to discuss with other users about editing Wikipedia.
While editing, new users including me don't know what is going on. At that situation, 'tea house' in Wikipedia can give some help. Just ask a question. Then other users will answer as sincerely as they know.
One of the most interesting features of Wikipedia was sending a message to other users by the meaning of cheer up. Sending a brief message with kittens, brownies, or other things are not a big deal but it can cheer up the editor. Receiving and sending these could make easier to writing in Wikipedia because these things can make editor feels rewarding.
Wikipedia in Korea is not as active as it is in the United States. I want to discuss about the ways to make Korean more active and feel easier about Wikipedia.

You write very well, you're surprised at your writing skills and surprised at the content. I quite agree with your article. I think more Koreans should be familiar with Wikipedia before they can feel it easier. It would be another way to get used to a lot of publicity and exposure.

I read it well. I am impressed with your sandbox discussion. Unlike other encyclopedia platforms, Wikipedia provides a sandbox framework that you can write entirely in the editorial framework.
ReplyDeleteI think that the inability to activate Wikipedia in Korea is due to some administrators who are unfriendly to beginners.
