On the Internet, anonymity is basically guaranteed. So, many people think there is a difference between the Internet and reality. Or, you may deny yourself on the Internet, or you may be over-inflated and think too much about yourself on the Web. Accordingly, etiquette has been set up for the way one talks, talks, and uses the Internet, and it is called Netiquette. We learned from childhood that it is important to keep Netiquette. But I didn't think carefully about why it was important. Many people are using the Internet, and problems are also created. Problems such as abuse, slander, verbal abuse against others, and hatred emerged.

Since it is the Internet, it is a possible issue to get bigger. If it were real, many people would not be able to discuss a topic at the same time as that. And if the rude man made the remarks, he or she would have had to be restrained or in the limelight. However, since there is no need to worry about it on the Internet, such problems can occur. The point of Netiquette is that it should not offend anyone. It is very bad to be spoken ill of by someone, both in reality and the Internet.

This is how Virginia Shea, a professor at the University of Florida, described it in 1994 as a " key principle of Netiquette. " 1. Remember to be human. 2. Maintain the same standards and behavior as applied in real life. 3. Know where you are currently connected and act in harmony with the culture there. 4. Respect other people's time. 5. Try to look cultured online as well. 6. Share your professional knowledge. 7. The argument should be settled in a temperate manner. 8. Respect other people's privacy. 9. Don't abuse your power. 10. Forgive other people's mistakes.

This shows that Netiquette is not significantly different from real manners. We have to be more careful on the Internet as we are an unspecified majority who may or may not be able to behave as they are. Therefore, I think the story of the Internet real-name system is still being told in the past. I wonder what you think about this area. The Internet real-name system has been in the past but has not been implemented. If we could get all our information out on the Internet and adopt the real-name system, do you think Netiquette would work well?

    I read your article well. Nowadays, 'Me-too' movement is active not only in Korea but also around the world. However, many say the introduction of the real-name system is necessary as the prosecution of the wrong way continues under the shadow of anonymity. It is a pity that one person deletes so many of the pain. However, it is expected that the introduction of the real-name system will also reduce this phenomenon, but I think it is a subject that needs further discussion.

    I think that the real-name system will contribute to the growth of Netiquette, but it can't solve problems caused by the anonymous. Unlike face-to-face communication, the Internet real-name system will only reveal real names. After all, I don't think it's much different from anonymous people who don't know me. The real-name system will only serve as a complement to enhance Netiquette.

W5. Can we trust Wikipedia? Yun-Jin Kim

Then I want to ask. Can we trust News? I think Wikipedia is based on sources. Every time we edit on Wikipedia we need the sources. If we don’t put sources, the information we wrote would be deleted.   So I think asking ‘How can we trust Wikipedia’ is kind of similar to ‘How can we trust News’. I know there could be subjective opinion on Wikipedia. If the topic is unpopular, the public opinion doesn’t focus, there’s could be no feedback and that makes Wiki subjective. for this reason, we have to think before we choose the topic in Wiki. If the topic isn’t famous enough and have no sources, we should think this information isn’t sure enough. but if the topic has clear sources we can have a trust on that information. I think it is not important to ask, ‘is the Wikipedia trustful’. It is important to ask ‘is this information on Wikipedia has a exact source?’.
