W2. My first edits. Describe why you made them. - MinSeung Sung

It was quite a long time ago that I first met the Wikipedia, but participating in editing was my first experience. So it was exciting for me to select the subject to edit. Also, the point that I can select the subject made me more passionating.
     I did my best for all the edits, but most of all, my favorite subject was about the Netflix. The reason that why I choose my first topic to the Netflix is its contents is very hot these days in Korea. And most of all, I am really got into it. Although I have been watching it since a year ago, I realized that I have no idea who is the CEO when it was first established and the counties it is servicing.
     Thank you for this opportunity, I could get a lot of information about the Netflix. The most interesting part was the fact that Netflix gets an enormous investment for a new show. According to the article, there are some negotiations to make a reality show between the Netflix and Barack Obama. This issue is raising stock prices and I am really looking forward to watching it.
     The one thing that I am curious about the Wikipedia is, any editors can fix the contents from individual judging. I think this makes Wikipedia, full of enriching information but also it can remove the right information, too. This concern is from my experience that, my editing was removed by the user and saying I am 'advertising'.

W5. Can we trust Wikipedia? Yun-Jin Kim

Then I want to ask. Can we trust News? I think Wikipedia is based on sources. Every time we edit on Wikipedia we need the sources. If we don’t put sources, the information we wrote would be deleted.   So I think asking ‘How can we trust Wikipedia’ is kind of similar to ‘How can we trust News’. I know there could be subjective opinion on Wikipedia. If the topic is unpopular, the public opinion doesn’t focus, there’s could be no feedback and that makes Wiki subjective. for this reason, we have to think before we choose the topic in Wiki. If the topic isn’t famous enough and have no sources, we should think this information isn’t sure enough. but if the topic has clear sources we can have a trust on that information. I think it is not important to ask, ‘is the Wikipedia trustful’. It is important to ask ‘is this information on Wikipedia has a exact source?’.

These days lots of controversial problems are rising. And because of those problems, people fight on the Internet. But I think most of problems happen because of a lack of civic attitudes.
