W1. What do I know about Wikipedia and what do I want to learn about it? - Sujin Park

First of all, I didn't know much about Wikipedia before taking this class.

Wikipedia is online encyclopedia. You can access Wikipedia if you have computer and network. So there is no limit of distance, races, languages etc. This mean it is unfair to access also. You can't easily access Wikipedia if you live country where is based on poor network or computer environment. As I know Wikipedia want to be a shared all information of human beings. But I think it is not easy in this situation. Think some poor countries in the Earth. You have much information about some areas what don't know people who live the other countries. But you can't share those things to others easily by Wikipedia. So we should eliminate this unfairness as soon as possible with people who have a think with Wikipedia.

Also Wikipedia is neutral. I had some information and policies about Wikipedia from tutorial of Wikipedia. They don't allow to write one sided information or writing. Also subjective writing. I think this is very important thing of Wikipedia. Wikipedia say they are encyclopedia. So it should be neutral. I know it's hard because anyone can edit, modify the information in Wikipedia. They who use Wikipedia had many conflict and will. So You should respect the others in Wikipedia if you want to be respected by the others.  All of these conflicts make Wikipedia to neutral.

You can write anything in Wikipedia!
Medical, Math, Food, Nation or etc. Everything you want. Also modify and edit the information. You can be part of the information easily.

So this is why Wikipedia is collective intelligence as I think.

I want to get some new information and develop how to make right information by Wikipedia. I think using Wikipedia is not easy. I don't know how to edit and write, modify exactly now. But I will be one of Wikipedian though this class.
