1. Summary
I took classes in "collective intelligence" and "everyday life sociology". In this process, I had many difficulties. It was very difficult to find information when using Wikipedia. I did not know how to approach. But I learned sandbox while listening to class. Also, it became understandable by learning connection links and sending messages. Various techniques have helped me edit my Wikipedia. When I edit Wikipedia's information every week, I try to understand Korean culture and culture of other countries. And I tried to find fact-oriented articles and papers. During this process, I was exchanging discussions with many people. I gave feedback on my article and I revised it again. So, I am now able to improve the article writing ability of Wikipedia. Sometimes my friends refer to Wikipedia. Each time my friends see my article and ask. "Did you really make it?". When my friends refer to my information, they give me various feedbacks. And I discuss the content with them.
This collective intelligence and collaboration in Wikipedia has helped in other sns space or creative activity space. I tried to think again about the authenticity of the information and the attitude toward others.
2. Interesting point
In fact, we sat and discussed with a variety of people in class. If the contents were difficult, I divided the parts and surveyed them. And while discussing, I organized and presented the information. Collective intelligence was expressed in this process. We did things that individuals could not do alone. Also, we resolved perfectly soon. Likewise, I emphasized collaboration in other team projects. (It's not just a division of labor.)As such, modern people collaborate wherever they go. It does not matter whether it is online or offline. Then, it creates the power beyond individual ability. Resolve what the individual did not imagine. Furthermore, I think it is important not only to collaborate but also to respect each other today. Because creating consensus and collaborating creates the best synergy. For example, a respectful attitude is especially important when you look at companies that only focus on division of labor and collaboration today. If you do that, you will create a bigger corporate culture and ethics and a better workplace culture.
I agree with your article. This time, I could see and learn the power of collective intelligence through Wikipedia and realize that group action is more important than the individual. Thanks to the joy of free culture and collaboration, I could learn a lot from the editors gathered in Wikipedia. However, a I think very limited number of Korean Wikipedia, which is more limited than English Wikipedia, needs to be developed.
ReplyDeleteI read your article well. As you say, it is important to respect the opinions of others in a 21st century society of collective intelligence. I think respect is the most important thing for many people to bring their efforts together. However, it is not as well respected as malicious comments, the biggest problem in the information society. I don't know if this is human nature, but I think it must be eliminated.
