Wikipedia has limits of unrealized vision, failed projects, and false predictions. Nevertheless, it is undeniable that the Web is one of the most desirable alternatives to realize the characteristics of an encyclopedia. In this Web-based book, I learned a lot about wikis and its background, but the most likely thing to come to me is the conclusion.

It may not be best if the encyclopedia's platform is turned into a Web. But I could not help agreeing more than once that it is one of the most desirable ways at the moment. The cause is decentralization. The vast knowledge of the world is beyond the control of one person. He doesn't know everything. Also, a person can never achieve it on their own strength. If you take it a little broader, it is a sign that a lot of people's knowledge and many people's efforts are needed. Therefore, it takes a lot of people's effort and time to find a partial solution to make it possible on the Web.

In my opinion, I would like to put a certain amount of money on Wikipedia and have a contest to complete the acute Atticles. Many people don't think too much about how professional or reliable Wikipedia's writing is. Rather, there are an absolute majority of users who simply seek information on the topic. Therefore, Wikipedia needs to try to improve its credibility and professionalism. So my proposal is a contest. Many people complete the aticles, topics they write with interest in, and require that users who contribute to many areas be motivated by paying them a certain amount of money.

Secondly, as I am a Korean, wikis needs to fix the Korean platform. As I mentioned before, as a Korean, wikis uncomfortable. The English version is not my first language anyway, but the Korean version is definitely uncomfortable. Many symbols, language translations, and editing tools are not friendly to Koreans. So make sure to modify these parts.

Finally, it is good to ensure that the copyright on pictures or materials is uploaded only on the photos that are available to everyone, but there are too few violations of copyright laws in wikis pictures. We should also come up with measures to deal with this issue. The year 2018 is a year when thousands of pictures can be found in just one search term, but it seems too few photos can be found on Wikipedia, and too few can be referenced. What is your view?

  1. I read your article well. I agree with you. When it comes to writing and attaching pictures, Wikipedia's own photos are both too small and too bad to be true. It is also inconvenient to upload photos directly. I wonder if it is okay to upload pictures of Google or free photo sites.
