In my mind, Wikipedia will not be disappeared. Rather, this type of "Collective Intelligence" will get more powerful and supported by the people. I think this encyclopedia whose editors(contributors of all around world) participate in it spontaneously correspond to people's desire toward get autonomy of information.
The more our society linked with Network, the bigger the Needs are.
The development of society has been along with the openness of Information. The more the society closed, The less way to reach Information for general people. It has owned by man in power. We call this primitive society. People can only get information in a roundabout way through a small number of intellectual people. The bridge which get rid of this gap is book. Books role this function honorably to this day. And, Wikipedia is the book on the Internet which is written by people who want to share their knowledge to everyone.
I think this "Wikistic" system will apply to diverse field of the Internet or possibly affect to the offline also.
