How important is it to be civil online on the Internet?
In today's world called the era of globalization and information, civility on the Internet is very important. In the past, our surroundings were made up of relationships between people who shared time and space. As a result, we often had similar cultures, values, and economic situations, and understood each other well. Today, however, the advent of a space-free online has served as a forum for global communication. We use Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Tumblr to send and receive many different information, Wikipedia, and YouTube to communicate with each other. Civility can act as a medium for understanding the differences between different countries and cultures correctly.
Why is it important to properly accommodate differences in different countries and cultures? With the advent of the global age, the Earth has become a single livelihood. The barriers to space have collapsed, making it a neckworked society where all areas, people, and organizations are interconnected. This has narrowed the world we are aware of, and frees up space to work in. As a result, exchanges with other countries have become routine due to international marriages, emigration, overseas study programs, and increased overseas travel, combined world markets, and global exchanges have become routine. In other words, as human beings became highly dependent upon each other across the globe, understanding and engagement with one another became a common challenge for mankind to solve the problem of environmental, human rights, peace and poverty.
What is the attitude of civility to be taken to perform these great humanitarian tasks? First of all, I think the most important attitude is to recognize that ' obvious ' does not exist and recognize ' different '. When my values are based on the " obvious, " I can not afford to accept other cultures and values. We will be able to understand and respect things other than me from admitting the difference. I think the unprecedented war started not only from economic aspects but also from the inability to recognize the differences. The same is true of the ' Battle by Gender ', which has become a hot topic around the world in recent years.
To understand and be understood, we need the power to express our own arguments and grounds in detail and logically. It is a driving force that forms a sound narrative through criticism rather than indiscriminate blame. It will also require an open attitude that is not afraid of being criticized by the other side.
I fully agree that we should adopt a different culture. As of 2018, Korea is promoting a multicultural society, but that is not the case. I should have a more receptive pagan attitude toward different opinions and not be afraid to talk to many people. There is also no superiority over many nations and cultures, so you should also be careful.
