Extra posting : What makes information reliable? - Sun Bo Sim

What makes information reliable?

I think the source of information is the most important thing that makes information reliable. The source of the information is where the information is provided, and who is providing the information. To find out about the credibility of information, I took the news as an example and figured out how people can have the credibility of information. The reason is that people think that news can be understood because the reliability of news varies greatly depending on whether the news is a representative and a medium for providing information to people.
In the case of news, reliability is closely related to neutrality. The perception of news that people have is that news should be factual and should be neutrality. But if there is a medium that provides news that cannot be followed, people do not trust the medium. Reliability of the information seen through the news depends on what action the agency providing the data has done before.
I think the identity of the person who provided the information is the same. If the person providing the information was an expert, of course, people trust because they believe that they invested more time than they invested in the field.  For example, viewers who listen to a doctor's explanation of a disease on a TV assume that the information delivered by the doctor is of course true. The reason is because people think that the doctor talking on the TV is an expert who spent a lot of time in the medical area.
