Extra posting. What makes information reliable? - Yeonju Heo

I think professionalism makes information reliable. Information of experts and trustworthy publisher information is reliable. And it must be objective and neutral.

Not all information created by collective intelligence is reliable. The reason we can trust information of Wikipedia is that the source of the information is from trusted experts or publishers. An example is IMDb. The information in the IMDb is user submitted. Multiple users create and rate information about movies. It is a site created by collective intelligence. But Wikipedia can not use IMDb as the only reliable source. It is because of lack of professionalism and objectivity.

Therefore, even if the site uses the same collective intelligence, the reliability of the information depends on whether or not to use the information of experts with objectivity and expertise.
