Extra posting: What makes information reliable? -Yurang Wi
1. Reliable sources
No matter how information looks plausible, It can't be trust if there has no criteria. It would be great opinion, but is not information. Accordingly, it has to attach reliable source like survey data, research paper citations etc.
2. Reliable Authors
For being considered reliable information, It is needed that the information is written in objective point of view enough. In this sense, It is required that the author has to try to look on phenomenon objectively, and also to be ruled by many people.
3. Reliable Publishers
I think it is important that sites providing information like portal sites should not block up people's interest.
In case of Naver, there was an issue that they arbitrarily removed Real-time searching rank and articles on political issue, so people had gotten suspicious the site.
Having these controls also affect people's judgment on the information at the sites.
