Extra Posting : Do you think Wikipedia is right to reject censorship? MinSeung Sung201602706

     Since Wikipedia is a collection of different interests, different opinions from different people are collected. But Wikipedia only has to deliver the encyclopedia, the precise facts. I think the distinction and objectivity of what is true is one of the most important points in the maintenance of Wikipedia.For this reason, I think Wikipedia has the right to refuse censorship.
     If Wikipedia is censored, I think it loses its meaning because it can not maintain objectivity. Censorship is the manipulation of documents by a particular government or organization to control people in the direction they want. If such censorship is also applied to the encyclopedia, it will be impossible to convey its original purpose information. It also takes the wheel to manipulate people's ideology by losing objectivity. For this reason, I think it means that Wikipedia is not an encyclopedia anymore.
     I think it is objectivity that enabled Wikipedia to remain popular and popular as it is today. This objectivity has made information reliable to people who use Wikipedia, and it has given people the idea of giving Wikipedia accurate information by increasing its predictability. For this reason, I think Wikipedia should refuse censorship.

Then I want to ask. Can we trust News? I think Wikipedia is based on sources. Every time we edit on Wikipedia we need the sources. If we don’t put sources, the information we wrote would be deleted.   So I think asking ‘How can we trust Wikipedia’ is kind of similar to ‘How can we trust News’. I know there could be subjective opinion on Wikipedia. If the topic is unpopular, the public opinion doesn’t focus, there’s could be no feedback and that makes Wiki subjective. for this reason, we have to think before we choose the topic in Wiki. If the topic isn’t famous enough and have no sources, we should think this information isn’t sure enough. but if the topic has clear sources we can have a trust on that information. I think it is not important to ask, ‘is the Wikipedia trustful’. It is important to ask ‘is this information on Wikipedia has a exact source?’.
