What do I know about Wikipedia and what do I want to learn about it? Sehoon Jang
I used to Wikipedia to search information about foreign singers or some artists. like I said in the last class, Korean people are accustomed to use another collective intelligence system in Naver. like them, It’s more convenient for me to use Naver than Wikipedia. furthermore, I used to think that much of information about some Korean things which I wanted to do search wasn’t so specific and correct. that’s why I only used Wiki for finding some foreign information.
after years, i’m seeing every information in Wikipedia is getting so specific and professional even about Korean things. nowadays the rating of using Wikipedia to me is getting higher. it’s getting practical for me to search more professional information and sometimes even want to correct or edit some wrong information on Wikipedia. that’s why I made up my mind to take this class. hope this class help me be editor on Wikipedia.

ReplyDeleteYour use of Naver is really interesting. We don't really have another collective intelligence system in my country (France) as popular as Wikipedia and we use this website almost exclusively to search information in french and in english. I thought it was similar for everybody in the world before the beginning of this course. When you said it's more convenient for you to use Naver than Wikipedia, is it only because there are more Korean information ? Or because the interface is easier to use ? Maybe Wikipedia should be inspired by other collective intelligence system.
