W3. Why do you think people use Wikipedia? Why do others write for it? – Jong Hoon Park. 박종훈
On Earth today, living in March 2018,
nothing is easily surprised at what happens. Advanced technologies are built
around our lives, and many people are used to using them. And many people would
also like to accept the information they received in response to the
verification and support they received, rather than from one organization or
another as they did in the past. I think this is the basic reason why people
use Wikipedia.
Although the book is free, it explains the
world's movement, cultural factors and other reasons, I think the most
important reason is the keyword " validation. " In particular, I
think validation by others plays an important role in wikis. We have been
editing Wikipedia for two weeks, but one of the biggest touches was its removal
by others. It is a painful experience for the individual, and although it is
not a very pleasant experience, I think it is Wikipedia's biggest advantage. It
is not 100 percent because anyone can modify it and tackle it, but only the
proven material, and the proven article, can survive.
Of course there are exceptions to this. For
instance, if there are very few Wikipedia countries that have a large number of
users and very few people who can speak the language, then there is still a
lack of reference to that article. However, these cases would be very rare, and
even if they were translated into English, they would be modified.
Either way, Wikipedia is an encyclopedia
produced by the collective intelligence of its people, so it is looked at and
verified by many people. The fine and controversial parts of this process are
subject to deletion and correction, and many people can get the best emissions
information on any topic. This is probably why many people use Wikipedia. What
can not be ignored is that a large number of people use Wikipedia. I think
there are hundreds of millions of people around the world using Wikipedia,
which makes it more reliable.
The question here is, (to Korean students),
I think that as we read and write about this Wikipedia, it's a very good
platform for me personally and one of the sites where I can get knowledge. So I
wonder if Naver or Google will be less active after class, more likely to
connect to Wikipedia, or vice versa. And I want to know why.
