W2. My first edits. - Yong il, Seon

'Guk-Bbong' is my first edit.

My first Edit was about a new Korean word. Korean people called it 'Guk-Bbong' and I introduced this word. The reason why I chose this subject was simpler than you thought. I started out with a 'sneer at oneself' characteristic of the younger generations in Korea. When Korean singers or sports stars became popular, people asked foreigners like this. “Do you know Yuna-Kim?”, “Do you know PSY?”, “Do you know Gang-Nam style?”... etc. As this situation developed, criticism began to grow in place of pride in the country.

And then, word was born that refer to people who love their own cultures too much or who force others to do so. That is ‘Guk-Bbong’. This word is a combination of the ‘nation’ and ‘philopon’. It means people who think their own culture is the best, as if they were high on drugs.

Come to think of it, this is a very interesting phenomenon. We look at Koreans with a negative view when it comes to questioning their culture. He is Korean himself, and the person who asked the question never did anything wrong. Of course, it is wrong to deny other countries ' cultures and claim only what they have.

It is not really known. However, in the past, I have seen in the book that French people do not speak English very well because they like their native language. It is not really known. However, in the past, I have seen in the book that French people do not speak English very well because they like their native language. On the other hand, how are the people of Korea lately? He is also criticized for questioning Korean culture in English. I found this part so interesting that I started doing it for the first time in Wikipedia.

  1. Very intersting about 'Guk-Bbong'. But I feel sorry that it shows the negative side of Korea. Of course, I agree that we should show various parts of Korea.
