1. Summary
I've never used Wikipedia before I entered Hanyang University. I thought it was just a collection of pages that dictionary moved to Internet. I was not interested in the dictionary. So I didn't access Wikipedia. However, I realized I was wrong. I learned that my thoughts were completely different in the course of taking lectures of various professors and searching related data. Wikipedia is a site where I can get the latest information based on believable sources such as articles and newspapers. Wikipedia is informative, convenient, and even fun to get information. As a result, I was exposed to various Internet encyclopedias including Wikipedia, for example, namoo wiki. Whenever I take a break, I read articles about areas interested in, such as music or city of South Korea.
2. Interesting point
Wikipedia is the world's largest Internet encyclopedia platform. There are currently 410,000 documents in Korean Wikipedia. 410,000 is a large number. however, the Korean 'namu Wiki', which is a smaller platform than Wikipedia, has 1,863,000 documents. I think this is a very interesting and surprising point.
3. Discussion point
Can Namu Wiki get trust like Wikipedia?
Currently, Namu Wiki is not gaining trust among Korean netizens.
For those who comment on information that does not have a source, it is enough to write "turn off Namu Wiki." comment among Korean netizens.

Me too. I've never used Wikipedia before. It comes me a very extraordinary thing ! You too?
ReplyDeleteAnd I also know Namu Wiki in South Korea. Korean version Wikipedia.
I do not trust Namu Wiki 100%. Because of subjective articles. It's not neutral.
It is a big difference between Namu Wiki and Wikipedia.
In my opinion, Namu Wiki is not very helpful in finding academic data. It seems like the Namu Wiki is just joke wikis. Reading small ideas and facts with easy style, it's fun.
